Information for Families

The goal of our work with children is to provide a safe place where the good news of Jesus is proclaimed and modeled in a way that children can understand. In order for this important ministry to be safe, we run background checks on each of our volunteers and secure our rooms in such a way to ensure your child's well-being. We want parents to feel the freedom to make decisions on behalf of their children that are right for your family. Perhaps you want to keep your kids in the service with you; that’s great! Perhaps, your kindergarten student is better suited for the elementary-aged lesson; that’s great! Let us know how we can serve you this Sunday.

Nursery

The nursery is for children from birth until they are potty-trained. Our nursery care is provided for the duration of the worship service.

Preschool & Kindergarten

Our preschool/kindergarten room is for all children who are potty-trained through kindergarten. This also lasts for the duration of the worship service. During the school year, Theresa Brashear will be our teacher and she will teach "He Established a Testimony" from Children Desiring God. It is much more like a Sunday School class than a nursery room during the school year and more like a nursery room than Sunday school class in the summer.

Elementary-aged Children

The 1st-5th graders leave during the song before the sermon and return during the song after the sermon. During this time, Erin Helbig will teach "In The Beginning...Jesus" from Children Desiring God. This will start on August 20.

Middle School and High School

The downtown campus is continuing to partner with the Rapid Run campus for middle school and high school ministry.

6-8th graders meet on Wednesdays from 5:45-7:00 at our main campus (3900 Rapid Run) in the youth room (come in the gym entrance). It's a time of fun, relationships, and teaching. This starts on August 24th .

High school students will meet on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:30 at our main campus (3900 Rapid Run) in the youth room (come in the gym entrance).

This list of upcoming events for middle & high schoolers this year is coming soon.
